The Surebet showing is located on a northeast trending ridge, 8 kilometres east from the head of Hastings Arm, Observatory Inlet, 41 kilometres southeast of Stewart, B.C.

The Surebet Zone is characterized by a series of northwest trending faults that occur within a package of highly folded and faulted Hazelton Group sediments.

2018 exploration works on the Golddigger property by Goliath Resources Ltd. focused on areas east of Hastings Arm. Highlights include discoveries of multiple breccias, stockworks, and veins containing high grade gold and polymetallic mineralization. Exploration focused on extensive areas of recent glacial and snowpack abatement. Both an airborne magnetics survey and a LiDAR survey were completed on the property. The magnetic data shows multiple linear NW-SE magnetic low breaks, one of which is correlated well with the following year's discovery of the Surebet zone (Assessment Report 37783).

The Surebet Zone was discovered along a northeast trending ridge during Goliath Resources Ltd. 2019 exploration program. It occurs on the east part of the Golddigger Property and is comprised of northwest trending mineralized shear structures in brown and grey weathered sandstones of the Hazelton Group. A total of thirty-three (33) chip or grab samples were taken in this zone, of which 23 ( 70 per cent) assayed greater than 1.40 grams per tonne Au. Only one channel cut was taken, totaling 8.4 metres. The channel was designed to test both the massive sulphide lenses and a small portion of the silicified mineralized Hazelton Group sediments hosting the alteration halo, which was observed to be more than 40 metres wide (Assessment Report 38979).

The 2020 field program on the Surebet discovery zone identified multiple high-grade polymetallic gold-silver targets along 1 kilometre of strike and a half a kilometre of vertical relief with an average true width of 9.33 metres assaying 10.66 grams per tonne gold equivalent (AuEq) and 7.58 grams per tonne gold Au based on extensive channel sampling taken and remains open. The high-grade polymetallic gold-silver mineralization is contained within a broad alteration halo of strongly silicified Hazelton Group sediments up to 43.5 metres wide containing mineralization assaying less than 0.5 gram per tonne AuEq. (Goliath Resources Ltd. Press Release November 20, 2020).
